Jinn is one of the Divine creatures. They have body and soul. They have intellect and senses just like Human beings. However they are hidden from the human eye. This species of creation is called Jinn because they are invisible. They are created from 4 primary elements: Dust, Water, Air and Fire. The element of fire is dominant in them whereas the element of dust is dominant in man. There are male and female jinn and like humans they marry and procreate. Apparently the word Shaytaan refers to the arrogant mischief making Jinn. The existence of Jinn and Angels is established from conclusive evidence in the Quraan and Sunnah, the denial of which amounts to disbelieving the Quraan. (Ma’aariful Quraan)
